Short Getaway - Mohican State Park (Ohio)
My wife is out of town this week and the kids were stuck at home, so I took Thursday and today off and took my daughters camping at Mohican State Park near Loudonville, Ohio. Travel time was approx. 1 1/2 hours from our home.
We rented kayaks on Thursday afternoon and enjoyed a fun (but pricey!) float down the Mohican River, played in the river from our campsite (# 98 at the state park campground - nice site!) made smores, rode bikes, swam in the pool, played Yahtzee, and had a good time.
Here's some photos....
On the way there.... iPod? Who needs an iPod?
It was sunny and hot (high 80s), but the Westy was raring to go on Route 30!
Relaxing at the campsite by the river...
Nice scenery...

Yes, hot and humid - near 90 today. We actually had an electric camp site, so we had two fans going in the Westy. Combined with a shady site, it was not bad for sleeping! (Also, thanks for the Bus compliments!)

You've got the key word right, that's for sure: Tolerate!chitwnvw wrote:Two teenage/tweenage girls tolerating their papa.
And it works both ways. I say "This too shall pass" to myself quite often these days!

It shows you did a good job raising those girls. It is bittersweet watching them grow and knowing it will never be the same as today.... Each year for Mother's Day my two, a 21 and 18 YO give their Mom a weekend campout. Keep them camping with you for as long as you can.vwlover77 wrote:You've got the key word right, that's for sure: Tolerate!chitwnvw wrote:Two teenage/tweenage girls tolerating their papa.
