Sounds like you need to come to Maupin!
Maupin? Pacific Northwest?

Man - I make the big talk about bus convergence and yet in my three years of bus ownership, the furthest I’ve dared wander is about 20 Miles from my home. So far, I’m a whimp. But after Colin’s visit late last summer, he pumped some confidence into my cautious VW soul.

You fine folks that venture out far past your home base also inspire me- maybe I can at least double my 20 mile radius and make it to the Fingerlakes here in Upstate NY. Or at least as far as Buffalo!

Drive that beautiful Bus to the DixieBus campout in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and then on to Columbus, Ohio for the Central Ohio Vintage VW Club Volksfest in early August

Thanks Don.

See, this is a very welcoming community - even for us cautious-stay-close-to-home types.

Yeah....that’s ours. Oops! Guess it’s yers now. 😉

Oh no, Kit, we are a stubborn sort 'round these parts. The loyalty towards our chariots extends to our tools.
I have an old 10mm SK wrench that I have known since 1980 that took a two year vacation at whc03grady's house (and several little stays at various appointments all around the country) before I reclaimed it (again and again).
Your wrench shall be reunited with you once more.

…Wrench vacation…
Darn Tootin'… I once left my ratcheting 10mm wrench on a late bus' distributor timing clamp. A year later I bought the bus just to get the wrench back.

Colin, don't forget the four-month stint your wrench did at BigEmma's garage until I found it in the Robbie Bucket… :pirate:

THAT . . . I shall not forget.
I still have the cheapo 11mm "Duralast" imposter replacement lurking around feeling useless. I shall give it to a deserving and needy customer when they prove to me that they will not over-torque their brake line compression fittings.

The wrench would have been returned much more quickly except it was UNDER that pair of custom gloves that Robbie left at our house and no one could bring themselves to lift them up to look underneath.

Speaking of...I believe I dropped my Swiss Army knife in the pen whilst the baby goats were being born. Or, in the covered parking by the Willy’s Overland knockoff. Please look.

I believe I left my:

small white handled flat bladed screwdriver
long orange/black handled phillips screwdriver
small clear/red handled phillips screwdriver

either in Homosassa or Miami. Sheesh.

Well, I knew that, so I am getting new ones that will be decorated with a lot of metallic red fingernail polish.
Enjoy the west.

I am in Pensacola presently but will look for the knife when I return and tidy up for Liam’s 10 year old birthday exrtravaganza this weekend!
Is it a red one? (Hoping so cause it would be easier to spot!!)

You know, since you and Megan became the cult leaders to all traveling “Pretentious Millenials Living in Vans” and all. Do me a favor and tell her we’re getting our Medicine Show together. We’ll hold our first sales event back by the chicken coop, if you’ll let us. ;)
