How has the black butyl held up? I didn't realize there was any sort of sealant used for that part of the tin and I currently have all of my tinware/fan housing/etc at the local engine shop getting cleaned up so I can paint where needed and reassemble.

Even with my failing #4 exhaust studs, the heater smells good.
