Pppffftt.... I trade either of you for YOUR current weather. It was 103 with clear, sunny skies (again) yesterday in Phoenix. I'm all ready over this heat..

May they all rust into barnacles, may they fill with all odd sorts of molds and mildews, may you feel the cold clammy drip of water trickling down your neck while your soggy socks squish in your soggy sneakers as your toes peel, may your gutter drill a hole under the driveway splatting mud, may you smell the stench of organic damp decay, may you despair of your fresh hopeful recent paint job destroyed by rivulets of rainwater, may you curse the claustrophobia of being cooped up shivering in a dank little Westy box as the thunder rolls yet more and the rain drops disdainfully drum on the flimsy fiberglass "roof" under which you have all the time in the world to consider your moisture-laden soggy lot in life.

That canvas must be getting funky with no chance to dry out. I recommend Sunbrella fabric when the time comes.

In my "defense".. It "may" have rained in Phoenix 1-3 times so far this year! I just looked up what my town has received in rain. Right about 2", year to date. So, like the folks living in dreary, rainy weather the vast majority of the time can covet sunshine; us with obsessive amounts of sun can miss and covet moisture as well..

It reminds me of this Sam Kinison skit. Maybe I should rent a U-haul, since I live in the desert..

39* forecast for tonight.

Starlight, Pa., a front coming down from the Catskills late yesterday, bringing snow flurries and freezing temps last night and early today. Ice on our deck this morning, and only 40 degrees, but sunny, right now-9:00am. Brrrrrr.

wow, that's beautiful! It was 93 and 80% humidity here... to hot for me being a PA boy from way back!

Wow, that's WHAT?

That is what I am talking about. An unnatural, uncalled-for atmospheric visit from Canada, it ruins the day, it stuns the merging leaves, maims the hopeful budding blooms, it freezes up the hope, kills the intention, paralyzes the joy of scampering about in the sunshine, just look at that brittle cold threatening canvas of chilly devastation, the icy waves lashing the shore, think of the poor bunnies, the shivering birds, how cruel.
