I can jump start your diesel . . . using 4th gear and a quick clutch pedal dip after firing commences. Oh, but I can.
The *timing* does not know or care **what** is turning the crankshaft during start . . .
I accept your challenge sir! (white glove waved)
Come on down my new place is only a few hours from the Georgia/Florida line. Aren't you in Georgia this week? I just drove to Atlanta and back for a meeting and it was quite tolerable...
3 out of the 4 diesels are here too! One of them you haven't driven yet...

I'd like to swing by, I just don't know when. I have a double-appointment Oct 4/5, a new 7th and a maybe 9th in Atlanta area. Then I need to see about taking Chloe's engine out, shipping off the transaxle, and everything and stuff.

As for your "Additional fuel expense over the time waiting for a battery failure would pay for the new battery" argument, I say "Show me the math on that, please."
Finally finished it where "s" = joules, "c" = caloric contribution of hydrocarbon molecules, "x" = inertia of battery at 39 lbs converted to F=mv, and bs/0 =BS . . . $170.00 over 160,000 miles, you're welcome.
