Hope I didn't miss a part of the process? If you need directions let me know? We are in the town of Loveland. Some people mistake Loveland pass as a city and that pass is 2 hours from me ;)

Cannot wait to be schooled.

Yeah? So what does it feel like to be on the other side of an appointment now?

I see you're in Georgia for a stop near the end of this month, then on to Maryland later. You want to make a SECOND Miami stop on this 2013 trip? I could go for another round of bus education!

Having not heard from jimbear (nor received a deposit), and having not received confirmation from Sylvester, you just might be on-deck for September 1st. I must land another Florida call to make the finances work. Ask your SIL if he has milling equipment to allow me to surface the nosecone on my 002 transaxle. If he does, can I take the engine and transaxle out at your place, deliver the nosecone to milling rig, and install a Long Enterprises internet-ordered steel plate to hold my poor long-suffering mainshaft bearing in place? 4th gear is popping out here and there, time to nip it in the bud . . .

David says he can get it done, and you're certainly welcome to use my resources here in any way that you require, for whatever it takes. Let me know if you get another Florida stop, or what you'd like to do. Ian

Wha...? Popping out of fourth is something I could address? I figured it was time for a rebuild.

Well, it depends . . . if you are a crazy ( and with the latest cancellation, now damn-close-to-broke ) hack, you install a steel plate to hold the mainshaft bearing from shifting axially, that is what appears to be kicking me out of gear. I cannot afford a gearbox rebuild before next summer's assault on the lifespan of my beloved Volkswagens.

Let me know what you decide about the 27th. The barn is yours to use if you choose.

Yay, got my deposit in yesterday...sorry for the delay, Colin, I just had to wait for payday. Hopefully you can still make it to Falls Church, VA on 10/24! You certainly had nice weather in NoVA the past few days

See you then. Just spanked a Raby engine on the Baltimore Beltway not four hours ago . . .
