There will be a Cross-CountryTravel With TBRRD thread in the later fall. This car talks to me so hard, what a sweetheart!

Please Portlanders, if you need some appointments in the fall, let me know. I will need to finance fuel and road expenses and many repairs. Oregon72, again, thank-you for keeping the communication channels open.

Take some glamour shots of the Ruptured Duck and post them up here. I want to see some pin up/nose art pictures of that Bus.

In due time, young Sylvester.

Meanwhile I need options for my return trip to Portland tentatively scheduled for last few days in September.

A) Do I request that Portland area members put together a travelling tool assortment so I can fly unencumbered from Atlanta? I also need at a minimum a spare ready-to-install single port head.

B) Do I mail my tools to pj's CandyAppleRed Volkswagen Palace in a shipment of 8 or so boxes? If I do appointments in Portland area around that time, it would be better that I ship all of the contents of the BobD to pj'sCARVP, because a man without his tools is lost.

I have two single port heads that you can have if it helps the cause. I don't know which is better, and either of them should be completely gone through but the offer is on the table.

say, Sylvester starting you out down south.......all the way out west!! :joker:

Please provide us a list of said tools so we can assess our supplies... You may wish to plan on packing some of the specialty tools in your suitcase.

(check into the shipping possibility, Look at the flat rate boxes. The "if it fit's it ships" boxes are a good deal for heavy items.)
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

I thought about going with Colin on the trip but I can certainly relay also. I have never been to Memphis.

I would bet that for less than $1000 you could have the RD shipped from Portland to Atlanta.

You're right, it's not as sexy. But probably cheaper and more reliable.

Haha! Probably, but Colin wouldn't need a caravan of tools to drive back a used Toyota. :geek: :geek:
