Still bugging you? I need to be reminded if you have a long list of new parts under there, like tie rods and drag links and ball joints, the summ of which will make your car damn close to undriveable until they loosen up.Bartoli wrote:I could use my steering looked at....

Re: Interest Gauge, Step On In
See, that is exactly my point. No one wants to suffer a day of my whining and complaining and shivering and dramatic escapes from the garage to catch 15 seconds of sun between the scuttling clouds. If I go across in the broiling heat of summer under a beating sun, then we all get to enjoy loose muscles and good humor just before you pass out complaining of black dots in your field of vision. Ask Myopolis . . . poor guy.Hippie wrote:Depending on the area and the season, good for the bus. Not so good for the mechanics. Naughty old heat stroke. I quit shivering at about 85* myself.

Re: Interest Gauge, Step On In
Steering box isn't new. Pretty much everything else is (front beam, shocks, ball joints, drag link, both tie rods, swing lever bushings, steering damper). Even the Hankook RA08 tires were put on new after the front end rebuild.Amskeptic wrote:Still bugging you? It is criminal, the decision-making of some of these parts suppliers.Bartoli wrote:

There appears to be no known cure but insane amounts of driving.
We can try to install zerk fittings but even a serious dose of grease did not help the Road Warrior loosen up, and I was doing hundreds of miles of dirt rock-strewn roads.
I still miss that car!

If & whenever our paths cross will be fine. Lets see how the '11 schedule comes together, but yes, Los Alamos would also be good, possibly great!!Amskeptic wrote:You want an appointment right when you wake up your bus, or is later, like Los Alamos, NM good?

There is a good bunch of people up in Los Alamos, bright, humorous, bus-loyal, they all design the latest deadly weapons with total planetary annihilation as their goal, and they all have pianos in their houses as well as curious children surrounded by spectacular scenery.midatlanticys wrote:If & whenever our paths cross will be fine. Re: Interest Gauge, Step On In
I can't blame you for avoiding the East after this wretched winter. If you happen to get some appointments going in the New England area, I think it's time for a refresher and continuation of the Bus 101 course. Let me know if things start to gel for a NE swing.

Yes, warmer and greener! Our buses might just fade into the surroundings like chameleons!Amskeptic wrote:You are on my list. Late May-ish?
