Folks All,

I must tell you that I had a splendid beautiful itinerary this past year, and enjoyed all of your company very very much. I feel so damn lucky to be able to have such stupid small fun and see this beautiful country, and get to have adventures with you people. It was a very satisfying summer as far as the challenge/cure ratio, some of our repairs were close to demented, but that is truly half the fun. I loved the Maupin interlude, I still love to bitch about Missoula's June snow, and I am eternally grateful to IFBWax, Bookwus, Birdibus, Elwood, Velokid1, for stepping up to the plate when I desperately needed to generate funds for the unexpected expenses of two funerals for two people I truly loved this year, thank you!

Well, you're not getting rich, but it's cool you're still doing it. Hopefully you'll have a steady income from book proceeds before long and you can afford to keep it up. I'd like a visit next time around.

EXPECT SNOW.
I couldn't be more pleased that this Summer's snow here in Missoula left such an impression on you. I'm looking forward to more interesting weather during your IAC '09 visit.

It's only snowed here twice since then, incidentally.

Colin can't be doing too bad, he just bought himself a brand new, practically, bus. I think the lady doeth protest too much, perchance he's cooking the books!

Ribbing aside, Colin does seem a model of frugality. One to emulate.

That was the swan song discretionary purchase from my good ol' days of having a real cough, cough, haaaaack, job.
Now?
Friskies tuna'n'gravy bits ain't so bad, heck, three cans for a dollar with a peel-off lids so my shopping cart doesn't have to lug around a can opener. Produce boxes have a waxy coating for more comfortable rainy day sleeping comfort under the bridge. Get the plastic liners out of the McDonald's parking lot trash receptacles before they open to help waterproof your sneakers. . . Yeah, its a pretty new bus, but nobody believes I own it as they shoo me away or they'll call the cops. Soon as I find the keys, I'll show 'em.

Shucks, Z and J are putting you up in style. There are many of us that would do the same. Numbers are numbers, but the devil is in the details. You are richer than you appear.

How the heck can I garner sympathy if you just have to go tell people that I actually have 100Mbps cable and french-pressed coffee and gourmet pasta and a newspaper waiting at the table on Sunday mornings?? HAH?

Hey Chi, what are we all gonna do if that beautiful bus has set Colin back so far that he decides to find a real job instead of hangin' with the likes of us? Huh, what we gonna do then?

Indeed. You are rich beyond measure, as those who have met you will testify.
