Would someone like a spacemaker side tent?

Post by cheesehead » Tue Sep 07, 2010 10:59 am

Would someone like to buy this tent, I hate to see it go unused. Like new, I have only set it up twice in the yard... Because of my back disk issue I no longer should lift it up on the luggage rack. Soooo my loss hopefully is someones gain. But I have to say this thing is big, great for festivals, base camp etc. It was $300 new from busdepot, if someone wants it for $150 plus shipping great. I do not have instructions to set it up but it only has three poles and you need to get a clamp for the pole to hold it to the rain gutter of the bus. Here is a picture from another site just to show you what the tent looks like.

What size bag does it pack down into? Has it got a floor? I'm interested.

Not sure why the picture doesn't show up for me it did before hmmm...
It does have a floor. I will measure tonight how small it packs. I have to say I did not pack it as tight as I could have this last time, you can do better I think you will be suprised how compact it gets. But it is heavy.
Oh and it has an extra "sleeping room" that you can set up inside.

I can see the pic - just curious on the packed down size and weight. That thing looks huge! Nylon or canvas?

Nylon and it is Huge that is what I was saying. But neat for the right time. It packs smaller that you think I will try to take some pics of it packed and size of it packed.

Hey that's my tent and bus!
It packs into three bags: one for the tent itself, which I would estimate is about 30" x 12 x 12, one for the poles, which is probably about 40" x 8 x 8 , and then the pegs which are in a small bag and could be put into either the tent bag or the pole bag.
We find we use ours when we are going to be set up for a few days. It's not hard to do once you get the hang of it, and it has in fact two bedrooms and a living room inside, so lots of space for guests.

Hey - we're out too...sorry. Our daily driver is having an unplanned for repair and I don't think we can swing it at this point.
