Would have been even more fun if you were there.

Don't forget your friends to the West.

Never could forget you guys, even if I wanted to :geek:

I got the new trans in Bill, buttoned everything up and went for a drive today so I will be able to attend something in the near future for sure.

I should look for a dutch oven, you've inspired me.
Lovely campout... sigh, jealous.
Our campouts (not VW events) are packed in like that usually... looks normal to me. Our campgrounds were burned this summer... another sigh.
Yeah, Barb, aren't all those ferny woods and ponds wonderful?
I saved a few photos to add to my landscape slide show screen saver, yummy!

Dutch ovens are da bomb...as is all cast iron cookware. You can make nearly anything in a dutch oven....quiche, pizza, nachos, desserts, baked chicken, etc., etc., get one with legs!!!! have fun!

We chose wisely:
Road 63 is closed at Little Fan Creek Campground (Hot Springs Fork) due to a road reconstruction. Construction should be completed by Mid-November.
and
hiked into High Lake today and ran into snow in spots at 4000' and 3-4″ at 4500' when we got to the lake.

Mark had mentioned at the RendezVW that he had a cool idea for a storage unit for hanging on his Westy's poptop framing inside the bus above the seats, so before we broke camp on Sunday, we took some measurements and sketched up the idea. We are near complete with the prototype and thought we'd share a photo of what he envisioned. It's still got some things to be done before it's finished - some final sewing, straps to attach to the poptop frame and some button snaps for the front pouches, etc., but you all can get the idea.

It should hold a lot of different stuff, be handy to use and help unclutter the bus...

Thanx Mark!
