Thanks locoqueso, you're welcome anytime. It would be great to meet you.

Nice write up Bob. I'm not too crazy about being a serf, but still, a nice write up.

Kirk, don't fear the madness. Remember: only YOU can prevent forest fires. ONLY YOU.

Beautiful place

Not much by way of written description but I have a few pix:

On the way in. As the sun was setting and before the miles and miles of Weyerhouser roads that are more suited to ATV's than a vanagon.

I did not bring the GPS this time... I got to wander the hills all on my own.

Do you EVER!

Y'know, I was half a mind to surprise you guys and turn up with Frito, but my "Favourite Body Part" episode kinda slowed me down.

I sure wish we'd made it down there. What a great location!

My fave pix are the raindrops on the screen and the abstract closeups of nature.

Location: SE!!! We went up to Memaloose Lake today and they are FIERCE. There is a hive about 200 yards up the South Fork Trail and somebody disturbed and we all ran away, pursued by angry yellow jackets. Everyone save one came home with multiple stings and my hand is swollen right now.
You might want to stay away if you are headed up there any time soon.

Sounds like they hit that hive in the tree. Did you notice the constant low buzz Sunday morning? Wasps everywhere. The colder weather kept them inside, out came the sun, out came the wasps.

Wish I'd have taken a picture of the spider Anthony had crawling on him. That was on big hairy Arachnid. The lumpy back made me think she was full of babies.

Got the jeebs just thinkin on it.
