On the campout, the topic came up about seat belt laws and also open alcohol in a VW camper.
I'm still looking at the vehicle code for housecars and seat belt laws, but I did find this about open alcohol...might be a good idea to print it all out if anyone plans to have a few brews whilst someone else is piloting.
BTW, I figured I'd post this here since I didn't know what forum section would be appropriate for it.
So, for boozin in the 'housecar':

I'd imagine this is only applicable if you have a sticker on your bus saying it's an RV. I also can't find anything saying your title or registration must say housecar, but printing out the definition of housecar would be a good idea too:

I'll post again when I figure out about seat belt laws, but it's looking as if you're supposed to wear a seatbelt no matter what seat you're in...even if you're in a 40' long RV in the back boozin.
