Hoh Rain Forest Campout
If you folks haven't seen this place.....you should! I know we have a few events in the cooker this year but let's see if we can't squeeze this one in kind of like we did the San Juan trip.

That place looks totally way cool dudestroid....when were you thinkin? What's the weather like there in late September? My summer is already slammed...biz biz and more biz mixed with a couple of family outings...don't plan this around my schedule, but late September may work for me.

Ya know it may be smart to go to a "rain forest" when it would be raining elsewhere anyways. Late Sep would work, that way we don't miss out on the summer warmth and sunshine.deschutestrout wrote:Yeah, scenery schmeeenery .

Like we talked about at Nehalem, I just wanted to put this one on the radar.

Not sure what the future holds. I'll know more in a few months.

Lots of trails around there...that is the cool part, you could just wander around the whole weekend on short, medium, and longer hikes. Lots of elk around there too.Gypsie wrote:Done penciled.
any particulars in mind? trails, landmarks etc.
Some of the trails are interpretive so if ya want to bring the wee ones, it would be a cool experience for them.

I want to see this happen and I want badly to be a part of it. Late September is the peak of my steelhead season...but WTF. The weekend of Sept 18, 19, 20, 21 is best for me...but it needs to hit my calendar soon. Don't wanna be the decision-maker for ya'll...but the only way I'm in that time of year is to block out dates now....or, it won't tweek me the slightest bit if something else works better for the rest of the gang...I know these outings don't always work for all...that's why we collectively try to schedule so MANY . Hope to see you all in April on the Barlow Trail somewheres...snowpack permitting.
