August Camp for Jasan - 14 - ? 2017

Post by hambone » Wed Aug 02, 2017 8:19 pm

It's the week before that stupid eclipse, we should do it earlier in the week or it will be nuts the weekend before the 21st...

Bonney Mdws:
http://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide ... _Trailhead

"Bonney Meadow is about 2.5 miles up a rough, and narrow road, a high clearance vehicle is required. The campground is small, but quiet and uncrowded, it is also FREE despite what other sites may indicate.

The campground is small, but quiet and uncrowded. There are six sites, five of which have metal fire rings, and they all have newer picnic tables. The outhouse is modern and in good shape.

Bonney Meadow is a large alpine meadow with abundant wildlife, and fantastic views of Mt. Hood. Bonney Creek flows through the meadow, and the upper end of the meadow has several springs.

Ah crap, sorry Bob. I just now saw this. I probably couldn't make it anyway. On top of tearing my calf I pulled a muscle in my back and haven't been able to get to that sticking caliper on the bus. Got a new caliper and hose but no one home to help bleed it when I do get to it. I'm not enjoying getting old...

Maybe the end of August?
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

Yeah that's ok I have been busy as hell anyway. Falling apart? I hope you spring back.
I have to drive out there tomorrow for BARK, there is a hike on Sunday I'm helping with.
