Itinerant Air-Cooled

I am putting this out there early so maybe a few of you can clear your often busy schedules!
It will be at least 4 nights, possibly more thanks to Sluggo's job.
I want to talk with Randy first, he wants a lake in the Clackamas so I gotta narrow it down. Salmon, Dinger, Buck, and Cottonwood are in the running right now! Yes it is quite exciting!

It may also be the breakin run of Bus2, we'll see how that goes...it needs to be done by then anyway.
Mosquitoes? Will they be around this year? Last year hardly any in the mtns.

I come here but between money and time off work I can't get out like I wanna do.

Crap. I'll be down in southern Oregon that weekend. Don't know about the skeeters in the mountains but they're thick in the woods around our place. With the mild winter they could be a real issue for camping.

I'll bet they'll die out quick, especially if it stays so dry.
Well this one is still in the works, regardless.
I can't imagine over a year without any wilderness, just city. I would go completely bonkers. Don't miss out on what makes our region so special...summertime no less...
I will post a couple more for July and August - Rho Bear Camp, Hambone who knows where else. Hopefully Don gets his bus fixed or it'll be just me sittin out there.

Oh I'll be in the wilderness for a week scouting for deer season around Parton Butte starting that weekend. I do gotta get out more with you guys this summer though. I was really bummed about missing Hambone last summer.

Yeah I know you get out a good amount. I was just thinking about all the guys that I miss and who hardly go out any more...the Eugene guys (except for DJ), Portland folks...I miss 'em. I just love those woods.

Hold off on Cottonwood, I'm not sure it's a good idea so early in the summer...all of those marshy lakes will be mosquito hell, I know it....

I will give it some thought and talk with Sluggo since he never posts here either. I'm thinking a high ridge may be better in June, like Rho.

There is a lake with campground, only 2 pull in sites the rest walkin. Supposed to be light use...Summit Lk.

There is also a series of springs a mile down the road, maybe camp there for free and walk to the lake.
I've never been but have been wanting to. Old trails all over the place, including the Skyline.
