Well poop.

I was looking forward to this. First time I have been able to attend.

Maybe not all is lost. I propose a Sunday "winter Solstice " gathering.
Perhaps a work party that spills over into hootenanny shenanigans? Anyone have a project that could handle a gaggle of busses maybe staying over?

I could host at the Gypsie compound. We could even circle some busses into the field next to my house and have a fire in the middle...

Or?...

That sounds fun.
I work early Monday so could not stay late Sunday. I could do a Saturday evening.

Saturday I could possibly do evening-ish, Sunday wouldn't be until after work .. we close at 4 plus driving time from Portland.

Supposed to rain like hell, outdoor activities are probably out. Not sure about the weekend now...
What about a camp in a couple weeks, same place? Either next weekend or the 2nd.

NWS:
...FLOODING THREAT INCREASING SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY FOR
NORTHWEST OREGON AND SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON RIVERS...

STRONG AND DEEP MOIST WESTERLY FLOW WILL BEGIN CROSSING THE PACNW
COAST SATURDAY MORNING. A VERY LONG FETCH OF MOISTURE IS STRETCHING
ACROSS THE PACIFIC WITH ORIGINS WEST TO THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND HAS
ABOVE AVERAGE POTENTIAL TO BRING HEAVY RAINS TO THE AREA. AS
SUCH...THIS CONTINUES TO GIVE THE APPEARANCE OF A CLASSIC HIGH
PRECIPITATION ATMOSPHERIC RIVER EVENT WHERE THE DEEP MOIST FLOW WILL
SPEND A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME ON A NEARLY PERPENDICULAR COURSE
AGAINST THE COAST RANGE WITH THE CASCADES TAKING A BIT HIGHER OF THE
IMPACT. LATEST FORECASTS FOR FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON
BRING 8 TO 12 INCHES OF RAIN TO THE CASCADES AND FOOTHILLS...7 TO
11 INCHES FOR THE COAST RANGE...5 TO 7 INCHES ALONG THE IMMEDIATE
COAST...AND 3 TO 4 INCHES ALONG THE I-5 CORRIDOR.

Man, when south china sea issues some moist flow, it's WET time in PNW.
Might be makin some snow further east?
