Ha! That'll need an adjustment when you get Green Cascadia off the ground. Last to bed, first one up with coffee ready and an enthusiastic smile when your clients get up.
No kidding! There was this guy with a red beetle after a hard night of drinking, oh I musta had three beers at least, hammered! anyways, next morning I just had to keep up that happy face!! "That pressure plate looks great! Good job! Oh, it goes the other way, see? Now the bolts fit! Perfect!"

Let's do the 20th! It's my birthday and that's what I want to do more than anything.
If Eva goes with me I'll go Friday afternoon. Otherwise who knows? Maybe stay until Monday.

Long drive back from Maupin, two hours, bus ran like a top. The Deschutes is lovely, yellow and green and fresh sage. So different in just a couple weeks.

So where is this place? I might make it for Saturday night.
Chorizo, it's what's for breakfast.

I like that photo! Makes me want to wander.

Plan A is Pot Creek. But if it's trashed or occupied then Plan B may happen, so know where it is!

Plan A:
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Estac ... ra=ls&z=11

224 Past Ripplebrook, right on FS46, paved the whole way. Just past the junction with FS4660, look for a gravel road to the left in about a mile. That is the camp. If you pass FS42 then you've gone too far. We'll put a sign up at the camp. No sign or us, we are at plan B.

Plan B: The Big Bottom Option: Take FS46 (like above). BUT turn right onto 4650 and cross a narrow bridge over the clackamas. This bridge is just before the 4660 jct. It is new and very obvious. The railing has a big dent from a tree falling on it. Take the straight (curve to the left) gravel road, not the paved one. Go about 2 miles down this narrow but decent road. Camp is right on the road off to the left, just before the road begins a big climb. You can't miss it.

Bring firewood!
And here we go again! Man I love it.

Werds. I'll be there. Probably appear around 10 on Fri. Definitely hitting Secret Breitenbush on the way back, maybe there, in which case I'll appear around 2am...
