Nearest In N Out is in Redding, CA .. and as much as I've been tempted, seven hours is a bit far to drive for lunch.

Sorry to miss the meet-up in Portland this weekend. I have other plans since the weather forecast is good.

So at about 9 am Saturday, look directly to the east. I will be waving to you from the top of Mt. Hood. At least I hope to be.

Good luck with the new bus! Tim

Just a heads up I leave tomorrow around 3:30pm heading up north so not sure if I will have access to Internet at all after I leave.

So, not sure from this thread if there appears a good meet-up spot or not. I know it was short notice so I don't expect anyone to want to meet up so don't waste good plans if you don't have to.

If I see before I leave tomorrow anyone that does want to meet and a place that makes sense, then would be nice to meet any of you.

But I do understand if it does not work out. I will be confused and dazed anyway from little sleep as I drive late tomorrow just to get to southern oregon around midnight and find some place to sleep at a hotel and then wake up with the roosters in the AM to get to Portland area by 9 to 10. Then deal with all the bus buying. hehehe

Anyway, I will keep an eye on the thread as long as I can to see if something transpires. I would probably not drink much other than something with lots of caffeine. Lotsa coke!

I would not mind just dropping by someones home in the area and have them look at my bus and see what they think.

So, if you have a home near by maybe a few of us can just meet at your home and share for a little while and then I will get out of your hair.

We will be camping someplace in southern oregon Saturday night. We may even try to get to Jedediah State Park near Crescent City but that may be pushing it for Saturday. Sunday we will do Jedediah for sure and then head home Monday. We took Monday off so will camp in the new bus a couple nights if all goes well.

Anyone like Jedediah?? Nice place to go.

You guys can come over to my house as long as it's around 2-4pm or so. I've got somewhere I have to be later.. and we'll probably be at the Tulip place until around 1pm I'm thinking.

You have my cell.. call me when you're in a position to drive the bus to where we can meet. If it's earlier than that, we can meet at that Tigard place for lunch. If it's much later, we can meet at my house in South Beaverton. OK?

Just might be free for a bit on Saturday to meet up and scan your "van". It would be nice to meet wherever it happens... and I've never actually met Wayne before so that would be cool too.. I'll keep my eye on the thread and hope it works out. Congrats on the new Bay!!!

Hiya All,

I'm coming into this thread really late but being an old Lake O hand (yes I still have my card and my key for the gate), I'd suggest that folks meet up with tj at Gubanc's in Lake Grove after he's picked up the Bus. Cozy spot for suds or food and it's on his way back to the freeway.

Just sayin'

Delighted to some unexpected rain down here with snow falling down to 3K today. Sheesh! Wife works at 2800 elevation and I am off taking her to work this AM so I can pick her up at 5 and then head norther to the wild and scenic Oregon. :bounce: :bounce:

Have to drop dogs off at in-laws this AM and this unexpected rain is not welcome but oh well. Two wet dogs for a little bit and more muddy when I get home. Nice red mountain clay in their coats and all over our walls and furniture. hehehe

Excited to be picking up the bus but as usual, a tad nervous. Don't know why I still get butterflies at 42 years old. :pirate: :joker:

I think for us, Tigard would be a good location. My wife has informed me there is some Stash Tea Retail Store in Tigard and we need to go there. So, after I get on road from sellers house, we plan on going there quick, then will be in that neighborhood.

So, if there seems a spot there, sounds good to me. Maybe a name of the place and address so we can figure out where it is.

Hiya Wayne,

Possibly. It'll depend on the time of the get-together.

I know you have a commitment both before and after. What is your window?

My window is probably between 1 and 4pm. Would be nice if we could hit it on the way back from taking pics of the tulips in Woodburn. My girls love that place. So do I. They have tons of pretty good beers.

Is it just me, or do I detect a common theme in a lot of IFB postings?

I'm thinking I can make it for at least part of that time. How will we know the appointed hour?

That's a real good question. You can PM me or Amish your phone # and we'll let you know when it's on!
