Thanks guys. This new camera has a much better image sensor than my older one. No more graininess in other than perfect light.

Filled up the tank, did the calculations, and our Bus got 17.3mpg for the round trip! So I made the whole journey on less than a full tank o' petrol  Of course, I made it to Maupin in an almost empty Bus but left with a full one so that may have skewed the value a little bit.

I'm running the proper Hankook tires and the speedometer is right-on as I've tested it many times at various automated speed traps where the portable unit displays your speed.

What I really liked about Maupin was meeting folks like Aircooled Nut and others who I'd feel like I'd known like Covelo.

What a cross section of people!!! My God... young kids, older young 20-somethings... a good cross section of young and not so young parents.. and people in the 50's and seniors as well.. all of us getting along and enjoying each others' company.

Man.

I was paying for it at the gym today though.

Great pictures, everyone! Looks like a good time was had by all. Maybe I'll be able to swing it next year.

Father's Day, I took my son camping up on the Laramie River in our local mountains, as a consolation prize. And, I even drank several Deschutes Red Cones in all of your honor!
