This is one of the premeir NW music events. Hornig's Hideout is an incredible venue and Yonder Mountain Sting Band is unbelievable!

Here're some pics from last year:

Yep.

NWSS is a big-assed Bluegrass Festival in North Plains. You'll probably pass it on your way to Nehalem as it is just past Hillsboro heading towards the coast on Hwy 26.

More info here.

Sorry you can't make it Mark, I'll drink a beer or two in your honor.

Too early to tell! But hopefully I'll be in the wilderness somewhere in some capacity.

John,

It looked great until I read the camping rules:

# No Outside Alcohol
# No Nitrous Permitted
# No Weapons

What? I don't know which I'm more outraged about. No "white man hippie crack?" No outside alcohol? No weapons?! How in Christ's good name am I supposed to have any fun at all?! (I am of course kidding about all but the outside alcohol)

The thing about that is, all vehicles are subject to a search before entering. Any alcohol that is found is confiscated. Usually this search is nothing more than a cursory glance into my coolers. In fact, last year, they just waived me through. The folks that have a case sitting in their back seat are the one that get nailed. Bob Horning has to state that rule and if your seen with a container outside of the camping areas, you are told to get rid of it. It really isn't as draconian as it sounds. If you're interested in going I could give you a few tips.

Hmmm, Deschutes River RendezVW....confiscate means I take? Hmmm....I may just rake it in this year :geek:

That festival looks fun...doubt I'll be able to make it though.
