The Central Ohio Vintage VW Club Volksfest takes place on Saturday, August 11 in Pataskala, Ohio, just east of Columbus. This is a really fun show with a LOT of cars. You sure don't have to have a "show car" to participate. It's a low-key, casual affair and the "judging" is by popular vote of the attendees. Here is a link:

A very nice VW campout takes place in Mount Vernon, Ohio the weekend of the show, called the DixieBus gathering. There is a fun caravan of cars from the campground to the show on Saturday morning. Here is a link:
