RendezVW Fathers Day June 14-16, 2019

Post by asiab3 » Thu Jan 24, 2019 8:16 pm

Hey y'all!

I had such a nice time meeting new friends and seeing old friends that I might just drive up again this year. Mark has sent out the announcement e-mail already, and Xevin told me he'll be making the Saturday morning toast again this year.

Who else will I see?

Imma be there, just like (nearly) every year since the first one. Only missed fully missed 2014 (day tripped in 2010) because I only had so much time off of work, and in a toss-up decision between Maupin and Europe .. Europe won.

Where's MY email? Huh? Mark doesn't like me any more? After I waded bravely into his bug Clementine's holy hellacious electrical nightmare? Mark! I can't take this rejection, I can't take it.

Wail hail, as for me, a declarative statement like "I will be there" is very hard to extract here on January 29th, but I sure as heck want to most certainly maybe be there possibly come hellroads or highheadtemps.

As for your 2,000 word essay, the grammatical rule that is easy enough to incorporate, is that the adjective closest to the adjacent noun is for that noun. I just (as in no.8 in the online dictionary "actual" > I actually might)
AND
might drive where might (no.2 in the online dictionary) is "possibility".
There, I might just have pulled this explanation off right here just now,
but I just might have terminally confused the readership.

A lot of us will probably be dead by the year after, and your kids will have outgrown the experience by the year after, and the wind? the wind will always be there.

And you will be bringing the Karmann Ghia and a pup tent, no, the Porsche and a sleeping bag and you'll ask everybody if you can sleep with them. Or the bus, which I'd enjoy driving . . .

Ah, for sure the bus as don't sleep on the ground unless I well, never say never. Besides it's too far to drive the ghia and hmm, the 914 would be fun so if the syncro isn't ready than .....

An excellent vignette of the weekend, with superb music too! (It took me a few minutes to recognize Hal's bus without the high top!)

I’m trying to make it this year. Bring instruments if you got ‘em!

I'll have a timing light, dwell meter, volt meter, and… an oboe.
