Well, I'll be there again, and will be hauling a single-wheel trailer with the sunshades again. But I have a problem that maybe you folks can help solve.

I found that the reunion of my high school class will be the following weekend in Portland. I'd like to go to both events, but I may need a place in the Portland area to ditch the trailer, since the hotel parking might not be able to accommodate it. And I may want a place (i.e., driveway) to crash for a few days before the reunion starts. If anybody can help me out on either count, please PM me.

John, you're more than welcome to spend a couple extra days here and stash the trailer for the duration if it helps!

If I'm in town then my driveway is open! Not sure that far ahead.
You're also welcome to ditch the trailer here but I get dibs on all the stuff.

Mark,

We will be in Maupin in May helping Stan the Hardware Store Man with his annual Traeger BBQ/Gardening shindig thing at the store - not sure what we will be cooking yet though. We will stop by and drop off our registration form to you in person while we are there. Stop by the hardware store during the event to see us if you can. And if you have the RendezVW T-Shirt artwork in hand now, please send it to us so we can make this year's commemorative stickers from it.

See you then....

We have always wanted to take the family to a gathering. We are new to the area and this year might be it. I have done some searching on this RendezVW and it sounds awesome. I have seem that children are welcome but what is there for them to do while the adults do their thing? Is there a playground, trails......? We would like to take a short hike to get our littlest girl, the dog, some exercise.

I understand that we need to register but we are not sure at this point if it is a sure thing. Will this fill up quickly? Can we just show up at the last minute and not piss off people? Im pretty sure that we wouldnt do that and that we would know for sure within a few weeks.

Thanks,
Pat.

Hey Pat! There are generally LOTS of kids running around...frisbee, squirt gun fights, just running around. It's one of my kids' favorite weekends of the year. River access road runs in front of the property so you can walk up the road along the river. I'll have room for you...but if you can give me a bit of notice you're for sure coming it helps with my counts. Hope to see you and your family there! It's a fun weekend!!!

So, after holding my breath til I was blue in the face and stomping my feet a few times with a pouty lip I was granted permission to miss my sister in laws wedding to the guy she met in January (she had a room to let and he needed a place to stay, a match made in heaven...) and attend the RendezVW.

I just sent off my reg form. If I didn't get it in in time I will be in the vanagon parked up on the hill overlooking the campground howling periodically and sneaking into the grounds pilfering beer form untended coolers...

I have laid the ground work for my wife and daughter coming to the camp after the ceremony on Saturday, though there will be family in from other states that will likely be more interesting than watching me stumble around from bus to bus. My daughter is devastated but has been written into the wedding script as flower girl. There is a large chance that there will be either a change in schedule or no nuptials considering the Bride's a fickle one.

I will likely have some icy glares during the Christmas brunch (the one time a year I see this person) but I am used to that. I usually try to avoid eye contact with crazy people anyway.

I have been bummed for months (since we heard about the wedding) and was prepared to cancel one of my favorite summer events, but now I am looking forward to that weekend.

that was a close one.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

It's funny, no one in this crowd seems to make eye contact with me....

The good news is, from your description, you'll be able to make the next wedding in oh say... six months?

And I finally sent off mine too, as it occurred to me that I don't need to know if my buddy - Marcus w/ the 2002 - is riding along or not.

So, on that note...

Keg - As usual by now I am totally down to get one for da crew!

Still need to print & send the form, but Mark -- we're coming, Mary and I both. Dogs are getting their own "vacation" that weekend too.

Thursday .. afternoon-ish?
