Are screw drives clamps interchangeable with worm drive clamps? Or should I get both?

I just bought the complete kit from Scott at German Supply, but if you can find them locally, you might save a little. Then again, you might not. I'm sure you can find the correct hose locally, but if you have trouble finding the clamps, here they are. http://www.autohausaz.com/search/produc ... 0Hose/Line

I've ordered from them a couple of times now and I'm impressed with the quality and price.

:thumbleft: AutoHausAZ is a great resource for parts. I've used them many times.

AutoHausAZ Rocks. They have great prices and free shipping over $50. Plus excellent customer service. They once called me because I accidentally ordered four of the short spark plug connectors rather than 2 short and two long. That's service. I order from them more than anyone else.

Pep Boys carries F.I. Hose clamps. $2.39 for four.

Just ordered them from the recommended AutoHausAZ. My normal parts place tried to sell me the worm drive clamps because they were out of the screw clamps.

Dropped a little bit of dough today (not too bad - I didn't puke or anything) but only need to order a few more of the recommended have-on-hand-just-in-case parts. :-)

Today's Shopping List:
*(15 feet) 7mm high pressure fuel hose (smooth covering)
*engine compartment seal
*(2) engine mounts 021 199 231CMY
*bowden tube 211 721 361D
*throw out (release) bearing 113141165B
*clevis pin 211 721 351A
*clutch cable 211 721 335J
*flywheel seal 029 105 245B
*flywheel washer 021 105 275
*(4) intake manifold boot 0391332419
*dipstick boot 21119245
*oil strainer gasket 021 198 031B
*oil filter
*starter bushing 113 301 155
*pilot bearing 111 105 313A
*1' 2 1/4" diameter NBH gas hose

Already picked up the engine overhaul kit. Just want to make sure I'm prepared!

Next will be stocking up on GumOut, no-lint paper towels and Diet Pepsi (right Colin?).

whew! :cyclopsani:

Don't forget the concentrated Simple Green. Great for cleaning engine blocks.

I think he meant.. Pepsi?? What's Pepsi? Colin likes Diet Coke!!! And lots of it, plus strong coffee. But he doesn't eat. Don't worry if you wind up with extra fuel hose.. nice to have in an emergency and you can always help some poor person at work (Kevin, Chelsea, me) fix one of their vent lines that's leaking all over their battery tray.

Dangit! DIET COKE then, Colin?
The strong coffee is a given in my household so I have that one covered.

Yeah, I figured extra hose is useful - I'm going to replace those vent pieces too while I'm in there. I'll probably have a few leftover things when we're done but at least I'll know what to do with them when the time comes. :-)
