Rear bumper removal

Looking for some advice on removing the rear bumper on my '80 vanagon.

Howza guy 'spozda get a holt of them nutz. I can barely get my fingers around the bumper to touch em and can't imagine how I am to get a wrench on them.

Probly a simple solution so take it easy on me.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

neb'mind

found the bolts under the backend that removes the whole enchilada.
So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....
