I drove this bus twice short distances.Seemed to shift fine and I know for a fact it was babied for 25 years.I am doing a rebuild on the engin.What should I done to the tranny?Whats my best bet without an entire overhaul?

I don't think there's much you can do other than to change the gear oil (get GL-4 from NAPA, not GL-5), replace the throwout bearing, and deal with any shift linkage issues.

I am very familiar with Richard's site. Ironic you replied, I am thinking about Jim freshening my 091. Hopefully he's better at trannys than engines.My understanding is that he is great at trannys, especially 091s.As you know his bread and butter is dune buggies with our transaxles in them.
