We replaced an input shaft to allow a 2.0 into a 002. Barely said hello to the differential.

well as for me I just cracked open another one  vanagon 4x4 and a filthy one and the standard hard to shift between 3rd and 4th so he drove it till he couldn't shift and it gets stuck in 3rd now not only does it need a 3rd/4th gear hub but a fork a gear housing and possibly some tig welding of the main housing he could of save himself hundreds of bucks extra by see me a few thousand miles sooner.

What did he do to that poor thing? Try to pull it out of gear with a tractor?
Colin
(or did it explode then stick in gear? I have got to do a rebuild . . . I see the shift rails are weird on side shifter transmissions?)
