It appears that LN Engineering has purchased the TypeIV Store and the kits will be supplied by them according to the email I got.

6 grand? Hmmmmmm...that's 12 Colin work days. You could probably build a new bus.

I think a couple of years ago when available they were $4500 or am I wrong? Considering it's the only complete engine kit out there not bad.
True, with Colin and a tub of bondo, popsicle sticks and some paint you could have a nice exterior.

Yeah that's about what I paid for my kit.

What does this include? Everything minus case?

You used to have to send in a good used case so everything could be setup for that case. If it needed machine work extra case prep charges were incurred.

6 grand? I would rather by a whole damn bus, strip it to the short block, get some HAM or Adrian heads, and roll on down the road. You can by a lot of bus for 6 grand. Hell I only have 2 more grand in a full restoration. When the roadwarrior lasted all those miles bone stock, I will spend my 6 grand 500.00x12 Colin visits and maintain the original design on my own. I guess that's why I am here and not there.

Not really, his passion has migrated from Type 4 engines over to Porsche engine$,
crappy new water-cooled $ixe$ with failing intermediate $haft bearing$.
