Squealing Generator

Post by hambone » Mon May 10, 2010 9:13 am

On high revs, a squealing generator is often the sign of failing bearings.
However, it could also be a slipping belt.
Check the generator for heat and excessive shine where the belt rides.
A removal of 1 shim cured the shriek.
