Anybody have any recommendations or best practices for treating/preserving the door seals? I have some seals that I think are original on the sliding door and the rear hatch. I'd like to keep them healthy another 25 years if possible (then they are someone else's problem).
Thanks much, Tim

Colin says lightly sand the rough/crumbly parts, wash with soap and water, then dust with talcum powder. His seals are gourgeous (I'm jus sayin).

I used the black RTV to fill in any cracks and then dusted with talcom powder, worked very well and the talcom does a fine job of keeping them supple.
Yah, I said supple. Not quite lucious though.
