Bumping this thread, because I got my first call last night. A fellow from Arkansas was in town (Sacramento) with a '71 bus that was idling badly. I invited him over to my driveway and we found the problem ... his dwell was set at something like 32 degrees. We reset it to 50, re-timed the engine, and he was back on the road in two hours. He had some oil where it shouldn't have been on the engine, but I really didn't have the expertise to guess where it was coming from, so I sent him to get some advice from the people at Kombi Haus.
So AIRS does work. At least, it worked for him.

Over the past several years, I've had 4 bus drivers come here to sort out something or the other. I put one couple up for a week. Got them all back on the road, and keep in touch with 3 of them. A great resource.
