Excessive Distributor Shaft Movement?

Too much? Seems like it to me. The point gap almost doubles! (Sorry about the poor focus of my cheapie camera)

(Oh, and the pounding on the soundtrack is the water meter! Might have to have the water company replace that!)

So here's the rest of the story..... The video I made showed the point gap changing, but I normally run a Pertronix. I figured the slop in the shaft would probably effect the Pertronix, too. But I figured wrong. I bought a brand new dizzy with nice tight bushings and although it did run better than the original with points in it, there was no difference between old with Pertronix and new with the Pertronix.

Anybody want to buy a nearly new distributor? :cyclopsani:
