thank you gift for an air-cooled guy?

Hi everyone! So, last Sunday on the way back from our very first camping trip in the new westy we stopped at a DQ for some blizzards. Our caravan, I mean carabus partners decided to go get some wipers for their bus. So from the time we stopped, got blizzards, ate and then waited on them about an hour passed. We got ready to go and our bus was dead. So, the boys got out to try to figure out was wrong. No luck. Then a great guy and his daughter (also great) drove by in a bug (daily driver-not a show car) and pulled over to help. (Gotta love seeing the VW community in action on your FIRST TRIP!) After about 5 minutes he told us to put it in neutral, yada yada yada (same problem Spiffy had). Brown bear started right up, and we all cheered.

Anyway, I'd like to do something nice for the guy for stopping and getting us back on the road, and I thought you all might have some good ideas. Of course, one way we plan to thank him is to learn some stuff so we can help someone else some day. (this guy even took the time to show us in explain exactly what he was doing and why we were having a problem--so awesome) So, I'd like to spend somewhere in the $50 range to say thanks. I don't know if he's an online kind of guy or not, so I'd like to limit the options to things that I can mail to him (I have the address)--like if you suggest a gift certificate, make sure to suggest a place that has a physical catalog from which to order. Thanks in advance for the help!

CIP 1
Wolsburg west
Ovals motor sport (Federal Way shop and showroom)

These are all I can think of right now...I know the bus vendors well but not the bug-specific ones....

That's the unspoken brotherhood of VW owners. Personally I wouldn't need or expect anything in return but it's very cool that you want to send a thank you. Most of the online vendors have a physical catalog that you can order out of by calling. Maybe that would be a way to go? Here's a few.

Pay it forward. He sounds like he is already on the enlightened path and would appreciate your spreading it out into a wider circle.

thanks for the most excellent suggestions. Pay it forward we will. I don't know if there's a mrs. helpful guy, but there was a daughter, who's gonna get a little something. She was certainly her dad's daughter--peering in the engine compartment and pointing out some problems she noted.
