We tried one of these a few years ago and ended up buying one. I grew up on Hobie Catamarans so I trusted the workmanship. We have the Mirage Tandem and it hauls a** 4 knots is a piece of cake and they are very stable in all the waters that we have waded in. I know they are not the traditional kayakers wet dream but they are fun and you can cruise around AND drink beer at the same time. We are looking into the sail kit for ours to add some more long range capability. If you have the means, I highly suggest that you pick one up

It has a tube with numbers on it that fits into the drive sytem....when the water goes past the tube it shoots up and registers how fast you are going.iwantmybustorun wrote:I dig em too. i have a perception made kayak. love it.
