It was just an idea that I had when I'd started cleaning the inside after doing all the windows, scribbled notes about what and where.
Mostly it's things that have come in handy enough to stay packed, plus a lot of extras that really don't need to be carried. I could probably gain 3mpg by offloading freight.
It's all still in there too. Where else am I going to put it?

I carried much the same stash in my old rig (80 vanagon Riviera). now i have a day camper type westfalia (80 vanagon again) and have taken the challenge to compact and reduce. I still have all the goods to head out on a whim.
It is fun coming up with the absolutely necessaries and finding a spot for them.
I find myself packing with a mind to how often or how quickly i will need the particular item.

So it all started when I wanted to get better gas mileage....

Interesting choices Lee on where you put stuff. I've been using the luggage rack on top/front of the fiberglass for wood and chairs. I wanna put a small bookcase of some kind inside the living space. I rarely actually sit in the bus except when I drive it, but I'd like to pare down the amount of stuff I've been hauling lately to make it easier to hang out in there. I never use my table these days. Too much equipment it seems.

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Porn? It's plastered all over the interior as wallpaper, of course. I thought everyone did that.
Actually, I think I did say where I kept it.
"Overhead left side, Bamboo Tray holding - Fuel injection repair manual"
Pressure regulator, Oooh. Spray pattern, Oh Yes! Bosch, Mmmm!
And you're right, I could have sworn I had some snake-bite medicine in there somewhere.
