just got back from Germany last night and it was,
5 Vanagons (some high tops)
2 Westy Vanagon
2 Vanagon Dokas with canopy tilts

oh yeah and 2 in a junkyard that i
took diesel parts off (mostly cooling hoses)
I have pics if anyone wants to see them of one vanagon that was a cool solid door
solid back window (metal) with a wall behind the driver too!

17 Vanagons
14 Bay windows mostly Westy's with 1600 type one engines.

pictures of the vans and buses I don't have as they are on the road. Pics of everything else I have tons of. We are now in Brussels, one of my favorite cities to visit ever!

Which reminds me:
I arrived in Frankfurt, West Germany in May of 1968 to begin a tour of duty with the US Army. A OD Green Army bus picked us up at Rhine Main Airport to take us into town. When we got into downtown Frankfurt, one of the new arrivals, a hillbilly from Arkansas, said, " Jesus, look at all the foreign cars!"

The shop
Today we made the hour drive down to Renkom to visit Kieft and Klok which has a ton of Bus stuff. Great fun plus I picked up a set of Westy carpeting for my 77 to replace the old worn stuff. Looked at the restored and unrestored bus for sale (about 30) in the back and got to talk to the guys for a bit.
Here are some pics:
