Re: The feedback is vague?
The fellow has driven some rather high-tech cars of the modern era, having sat in "garage project" category of race cars, yeah, most anything out of that era will feel vague.

You feel the caster, the toe, the imperfect brake drums, the synchronizers, the carburetors take the fuel/air, there is nothing vague about a Porsche 356's feedback. It might be nervous, but not vague!Xelmon wrote:The fellow has driven some rather high-tech cars of the modern era, having sat in "garage project" category of race cars, yeah, most anything out of that era will feel vague.

Re: The feedback is vague?
Yeah, that's why I thought Zwart's comment was weird. I mean, he's thousands of times the driver I'll ever be, so what do I know; but on the other hand, every VW I've ever driven, regardless of condition, was anything but vague in its feedback. It's probably why I love driving them so much--every trip is a conversation. So I thought, "There's no way a near-mint 356 is a poorer communicator than my beat 1970 Squareback was."Amskeptic wrote:You feel the caster, the toe, the imperfect brake drums, the synchronizers, the carburetors take the fuel/air, there is nothing vague about a Porsche 356's feedback. Especially compared to an 87 Suburban's steering. Now that was vague, at least a 2" dead zone in steering.
