I actually have a good excuse!

See that thing? Instead of lavishly sitting in my room, I was banging my head against the carbon-fiber covers to figure out why it was getting fuel and spark, turning over like a champ, and still not firing up!

After 5 hours of trouble shooting I noticed that the telemetry display on my computer was showing no RPM jump when I was running the starter.
Lo and behold, problem found... Cam position sensors wire was pulled out of the ECU connector. Once I fixed that, it was rumbling by the 3rd turn. ;)

So you're planning everything around attendance at Maupin this year, right?

And both of those two years I look in the distant East and ponder "Where the hell is Colin... He should be here!"

Formula SAE, basically F1 designed+built+raced by students, on a comparatively budget. Here's the main site for it

All gravel has to be kept at a minimum safe distance (say 1/2 a mile) from Xelmon!

@ Amskep:
Most definitely not a hybrid. That would be even further of a nightmare to develop and everything.
The other reason it's not quite F1 is due to budgeting. With everything we are pushing something around 80-100K budget 100% ground-up build.

@ AKC:
Motorcycle, CBR-600F4i. Building an engine from scratch is extremely difficult. We are actually taking it to the dyno tomorrow, so it should be an exciting day! :D

Looks like fun!
