Let me know if the above link doesn't work for you. Please join, then invite your friends to join as well.

Once we get some members joining we should be able to spread the word a bit easier, and ideally drive more traffic to the actual IAC board (once we start getting non IAC board members to join us for the fun of the content.)

We have gotten some people to join already. Don't forget to 'invite' your friends, who would also be interested, once you're a member of the group yourself.

Can you explain to me how I might freshen the page/board/whatever without being a member of Facebook?

^^^ you can't w/o being a member. However, you CAN hide your profile from everyone so it's like your not a member of FB.

Just register for a Facebook account and make up a name (if you'd prefer not to really 'exist' there for others to find.)
Once I know that's the name you picked I can make you an admin and you can participate in the management without being 'known' if you'd prefer.

I have a number of Facebook identities, some to test out work related tasks and others just to be able to participate in groups without linking it to my primary identity. No big deal, you just need a unique email address for each.

join in if you haven't already. we've been steadily picking up a new member every other day, since the initial signup.

im trying to post at least every other day to keep new content coming along, in the hopes that members will start providing it themselves in the long run.

HI!
I joined a half decade later. They call me "shy" around these parts.

Colin,

How do you feel about fielding technical questions on Facebook? The comment hierarchy system is such a mess for diagnosis, that I had to block all the VW posts from my feed- too frustrating watching six people say “replace your coil” when the car is just out of gas.

Robbie, this entire social media universe is an annoying experience. That Facebook page writhes underneath the mouse, stupid pop-ups galore, "people you might like" and "you should be friends with" and blah blah be blah.

Although it looks like it promotes connections to people, there is a layer of "presentation" in everybody's pages. It is like we are like children showing off to each other. Where on Earth is actual communication?
This forum lays our interactions in a calm easily visible format with sensible categories, but I have to drag over to Zuckerburg Narcissism Central where people thrill to the showing off of their damn lunches and kitten motivational posters on phone screens?

Oh yeah, technical questions, I do not like the format, but shall try to generate some sort of history there to see if it helps anyone over time.

Someone needs to monitor requests to join and activate them in a timely manner.

Yes, I have sent my request to join. :salute:
