Re: Bus, the movie........
Anyone we know in this movie?
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Not that I saw in the trailer but I'd figure that there might be someone somebody might recognize. I think there was footage of the Syncro De Mayo event in there and I know some people that do that. Also looked like some split bus Shasta trip in there too. Everette Barnes is in the comments section of their blog page.

Re: Bus, the movie........
I feel for you, buddy. I was just about to embark on a trip to document John Steinbeck's "Travels with Charley" trip when I found out that at least five other people had done the same thing in the past couple of years ... two of them Pulitzer Prize winners. So that's on hold for a while, until I can figure out another angle.ruckman101 wrote:Dag nab it, they beat me to it. Of course they had a better budget, grumble, grumble rationalize mope.

But you should do yours anyway. I know that you will get at least as close to the heart of what makes us all tick as their productions will, and maybe closer.
I noticed that the blurbs for both the Vimeo trailers remarked on the bus's "ominous Nazi past." Maybe that helps sell the movie, but the truth is that the only thing the bus had with the KDF-Wagens was the suspension and the engine. All the rest was strictly post-war.

Re: Bus, the movie........
I agree, why do they have to bring the evil past of VW into a Bus? There are no pictures of Porsche, Speer and Hitler gawking at split Bus. Why do they have to bring that up?JLT wrote:I noticed that the blurbs for both the Vimeo trailers remarked on the bus's "ominous Nazi past."
