Oh, hey Todd, I lost track of the date for your journey...it's been on already and I just found out. Do stop by if you can on the way back or if you need a crash-over.

She? Troutmobile is a she?...But of course...

So far she's a dream. Slightly sticky accelerator cable, but that's not a big deal. Cruises in the flats at 75+ no sweat. Good pulls up the hills. She's going to need some lovin', but that's ok, I'll nurse her back.

I'm in Mobridge, South Dakota, a town I had never heard of. Been taking US 12, a nice drive, off the interstate for the most part. I don't think a bus loses much time on 12, I've been doing 60-75 the whole way.

Knock on wood, I should be back in Chi town tomorrow.

Thanks for all the help everyone!

PS: Rob, I think I am going north of you. Need to be back at work on Thursday otherwise I would swing south a bit. Probably be warmer. I have heat, but you'd laugh at how I am dressed while I am driving the Troutmobile.

Mobridge, I've been there. A combo of Missouri River BRIDGE. It was a Milwaukee Road town, and then the Yellowstone Trail went thru there - one of the first coast to coast highways.

Good to hear. We got three inches of snow today on Dunnigan Mountain, 1300 feet elevation.

So what happened? Did Chitwnvw make it? Is he stranded in the hills of South Dakota?
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

US Route 12. The open road in a bus.

Looking a little worse for wear in South Dakota.

Bundled against the cold in South Dakota and Minnesota. Silly me I thought it would warm up once I got out of Montana.

Got into Chicago about 11:30 last night. Back at work this morning. Man I am beat.
