It lives!

Got the engine fired up last evening. Colin popped in for a quick "couple hour" visit on his way to locoqueso's casa.

Lots of issues (I'm sure Colin will fill everybody in on the two fuel leaks, "electrical issue" up front, only running on two cylinders, etc.), but I'm trying to work them out.

Engine sounds really good!!! I'm off to tackle a few problems we encountered!

Thank you very much Colin. =D> Your help was invaluable, as always!

Hopefully, the first drive will occur very soon! A Fall leaf tour in the Bus would be a perfect way to break in that new engine!

Keep us posted!!!!

Leaf tour, hell! I want to drive her to north Florida in two days.

Oil is changed. Heat distribution boxes and accordian tubes attached. Hooking up the cv's in a few minutes. Wipers are now properly positioned.

Had a bit of oil from the front of the tranny leaking last night. Found a bolt that wasn't as tight as need be. After I check the valves for adjustment and fire it up again, I'll time it. And hope to see no oil from the tranny.

Woooo friggin' hooooo!!!!!! =D> :drunken:

First drive was awesome! Been a looooooong time folks! Thanks for all the well wishes, help with the project, and good vibes sent my way - truly appreciated! Cant wait to show her off!

Ran like a top! Still needs the timing set a bit better. Overall though, steered well, braked well, and shifted well!

A few wiring things to finish up (gauges, and a random wire at the fuse box, as well as an unknown wire in the engine compartment that had Colin baffled. Otherwise, major break-in driving tomorrow!

Tranny leak was found and stopped (loosened bolt at front of tranny). CV's went on without a hitch!
