that's an excellent example of a wood-work bus!

I found a '74 (actually have known of it since cerca 1998) and I'm going to try and get it out of the field it's in. I am in need of misc. fasteners for my '78. The last time I asked about it, the owner said it had no title and that he'd like to see it go to someone needing the parts- well, that's me.

(VDubtech- bless me with your super bus procurement power again, please)

It also seems to have shed/grown some deluxe trim.

Saw this in the local Craigslist today:

1959 VW BUG SUDAN - $4250

Wonder how much it is to ship from Africa?
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Wish I had the room for it. I'd be VDubTech'ing it!

Hambone!!!

I've emailed a lady here in town who has a '69 transporter for $800.

here's the ad:

http://eugene.craigslist.org/car/638804097.html

here's the reply:

Hey there.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond. As I said in the craigslist ad, I've had this van sitting in my driveway for 2 years now, and it's a hard thing to part with. This was my husband's van, and he died 2 years ago. So truly, I know nothing about VWs. In fact, I even got the year wrong -- it's a '69 Van. The van doesn't run, and I really have no idea how much work it will take to make it run again. (It was running 2 years ago, but it's a VW so you never know...) Could be it just needs a battery.

It does have middle and back seats.

Here are a couple of photos:

Wow! If nothing else, the BA4 (I assume that's what that thing on the left of the engine compartment is) and the original oil-bath air cleaner is worth at least half the asking price!

Where's ham? I want this thing to go to him! If he can't get it, does anybody want to buy my '79, so I can pick this one up? '79 runs good, has a ba6 or whatever underneath, "has" a sunroof....

Needs to ditch that fram though...

I went out and took some pics of it for him yesterday. She's pretty rusty and in need of a ton of tlc.

Rusty?? Well crap!

Yeah, that filter has to go....at the very least to a different location. It is weird that the passenger buses are so hard to find around here. Maybe they were used as daily drivers more and saw more abuse then the campers?
