Another Chicago northsider here - good to see the midwest represented.

Some would call me a yuppie

because of where I live and what I do, but when they see my vehicles (78 Westy, 86 Volvo 240, 74 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40), they soon realize that no yuppie would roll in those... $\:D/$

Not Detroit. When I was out west and I told people Michigan they said "oh Detroit". I'm not knockin' it, its just that this area is not the Rock City up here.

It is in the pinky of the state North of Traverse City the Cherry Capitol of the World. If you live here you spend all of your time in your car driving around water. No mountains here just perfect perfect sunsets. I tried to leave once and ended up here again.

Now about that avatar mmmmmm I'll get it soon......

I'm 23 miles northwest of Chicago in Elk Grove Village. I've got three kids under 7 so my bus doesn't get the attention it deserves.

another chicago area vw - Elburn which is 60 miles west of Chicago in the fields of corn and soybeans, but not for long as development is on the move west.
