Danger: trigger warning

Post by Kubelwagen » Tue May 01, 2018 10:34 pm

The Kubelwagen lives! The mass of harvest donor parts lives.

Perhaps Hal can sort out how to post the video. But we made it run. It’s alive!

Tell us about what engine that is. What engine is that? CIS injection? Have you driven it?

Hope to drive it tomorrow - if we can get around to putting the driver’s seat back in.

It is a 2.0 liter ABA block with a 1.8 CIS head. Much like Hal used to have in his bus.

You be careful about bleeding the air out of the coolant. Then keep an eye on cylinder head temps regardless of the gauge. You can (delicately, discretely) spit on the head and unlike an air-cooled, it must not sizzle. Then, may your trust grow.
