They are trying to make it to Kamloops tonight after leaving Seattle (with good heat) at about 8:00AM

Re: 10 Weeks Prep, for Miami to Alaska Journey.
Kamloops? KAMLOOPS?? Kamloops is a not very pleasant destination. Why anyone would try to make it to Kamloops rather than through Kamloops is a mystery to me (though to be fair, it's not as much of a not very pleasant destination as Kelowna is. Avoid Kelowna).
That's a real shame, though. Given that they're on a birding mission, I would have thought Reifel would be on their list.

Re: 10 Weeks Prep, for Miami to Alaska Journey.
I have friends in Kelowna so I like visiting there.
Here are some pics of the exhaust troubles, a badly warped elbow with rusted solid bolts. Cut the bolts, ground and flat ground the elbow and J tube so they were flat again. No leaks!
I did get a text message they made it to Cache Creek all toasty warm with great heat and no exhaust leaks so a much quieter drive.
