I started scanning the brochure...

At 600dpi 12 bit, it's 166mb compressed TIFF. At 600dpi 8 bit, it's 50mb compressed TIFF.

FOR EACH PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not done, but I'll play with getting the file sizes down far enough to share on the web and let ya'll know.

I have been able to scan the artwork for my book at 300 dpi with no apparent loss of definition on a monitor so long as you don't want to print. My archive file is at 600 dpi and comes in at 3,000x2,300 pixels and 2.4 mb per page. TheSamba gallery pictures all came in at 300 kb.
Do you have an option of scaling your resolutions. My ACDSee asks at what percentrage do I want to save my editing I do 70% to really reduce file size.

Sorry, Colin. I wasn't clear. This was for print. I was asked for full size 600dpi scans. I put 800x600 scans up instead of the digicam pics.
