Spark plugs are often misunderstood by most people. A spark plug's name is quite literal. They are designed to plug the line - and suppress any spark that may come through.

Exactly. Think how much gas we'd save if we all quit just lighting it on fire with our leaky plugs. Sheesh.

(The left handed metric screwdriver should come in handy on metric VWs too.)

That looks like a bus slider handle.
