Thanks. It runs really good and smooth. The throttle cable is still sticky though. Must have kinked it.

Time to get some dust and debris in that engine bay so we can tell it is really being used....

Let us know how satisfied you are in the longer run.

Thank y'all.
Ha...I just noticed from the picture that my breather hose fell off.
Ya, I'll get it dusty alright. I never baby this beast.

The bonus part of the deal is a buddy of mine came over to help out and gave me (to keep) a nearly immaculate 1979 edition Bentley bus manual....the early version with color fold-out wiring diagrams...and a former library reference book (no check-out) so no greasy fingerprints. I haven't had a Bentley since I gave my late copy away in about 2005 to a guy that just got a Bus and didn't have a book. I just never replaced it.

Yabba dabba doo that engine looks nice! I want one for Christmas.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue, I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod, The high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Herr Hippie,

Please re-orient air cleaner in the korrect direcktion schnell!

Your breather hose will be more secure, the intake boot will be a straight shot into the air cleaner, the preheater hose will not have to be so long, the intake snorkel will be facing somewhat more towards the hatch latch, and the thermostatically air preheater cable will fit properly on the air cleaner! Konsult your owners manual photographs.
Thanking you for your achtung to this pressing matter,

It's on straight, believe it or not. It just looks crooked in the picture because the intake tube runs down hill toward the carb because there is some sort of carb spacer missing. With the intake tube straight onto the nipple, I aim the air cleaner until it is zero moment of force in the Z axis over the carburetor, and then push it down on.
